Pick a winner your audience can trust
Running a giveaway on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook? The fairest way to pick a winner is the one your followers can see. Paste every entrant onto the wheel, spin it live or on camera, and the result is there for everyone to watch.
How to run a fair giveaway draw
- Collect entries. Copy the usernames of everyone who qualified, for example from comments or a form spreadsheet.
- Paste them in, one per line. A column from Excel or Google Sheets pastes straight in.
- Clean the list. Click Dedupe to remove duplicate names if your rules allow only one entry per person.
- Record or go live. Share your screen, then click Fullscreen for a big, clear wheel.
- Spin. The winner appears in a popup.
- Keep proof. Open the Results tab and click Export CSV to save the winner and the time of the draw.
Multiple prizes
Turn on Remove winner automatically in Settings and spin once for each prize. Each winner is removed from the wheel, so nobody can win twice. Spin a couple of extra names as backup winners in case a winner doesn’t reply.
Why the result is genuinely random
The winner is picked with crypto.getRandomValues(), the secure random generator built into every modern browser. It’s picked the moment you spin, and the animation then lands on that entry. Every entrant has exactly the same chance, no matter where they appear on the list.
Giveaway best practices
- Publish clear rules: entry deadline, how to enter, eligible countries and age limits.
- Follow each platform’s promotion guidelines and your local laws on prize draws.
- Announce the winner publicly and tag them, so entrants can see the giveaway was real.
