Make chores fair, and a bit more fun
Arguments about chores usually come down to one thing: someone feels they always get the worst job. A spinning wheel fixes that. Every chore has exactly the same chance of being picked, and nobody can accuse the wheel of playing favourites.
How to run a weekly chore spin
- Edit the entries so they match the jobs in your home.
- Open Settings and turn on Remove winner automatically.
- Each person takes a turn spinning. The chore they land on is theirs for the week.
- Use the Results tab to see who got what, or export it as a CSV file to print.
- Save the wheel under My wheels and spin again next week.
Chore ideas by age
- Young kids (4–7): make beds, feed pets, put toys away, set the table, water plants
- Older kids (8–12): load the dishwasher, vacuum, fold laundry, take out recycling
- Teens and adults: clean the bathroom, cook dinner, mop floors, grocery shopping, yard work
Keep motivation up
Add a few fun entries, like “Free pass” or “Choose the next movie”, to make spinning more exciting. A prize slot is a great way to get kids excited about chore day.
